My tip today is to listen to your kids. Often we want to react or respond but what they want is for us to listen. We may not always agree. We may want to offer our opinions, but just as we want others to listen to us, we in turn need to listen to our kids.

My SIL who just raised two children who graduated high school and has three more (one a sophemore) said that if she could do it over she would talk less, more softly, and listen a whole lot more. Great advise!
But even as you listen filter what you hear. Kids can lie as well or better than adults.
