New Years

Do your kids stay up until midnight? When my kids were young, we always spent new years eve at a friends house and left by 9:00 p.m. to come home.

If you go out, who babysits your kids? I was always thankful to go to a child friendly party when the kids were young. I never needed to find a babysitter on new years eve.

What are your plans?

Wishing you a all a safe and happy new years!!

Audrey :)

We're doing a New Year's party from 3-6, celebrating the "New Year" at six, and then going home to avoid the drunks.

Happy New year to you!

I never did like having a baby sitter. The kids have had very few, maybe half-dozen, baby sitters total. We have done child friendly things or nothing or the kids have stayed with close family or friends when we when out.

Luckly, my SIL and BIL throw a major New Year's eve party every year so the kids can run around with their cousins (30+ cousins) all night long while the adults play games. It works well.

Personally, I'd rather stay at home and reflect and set goals and go to bed early on New Year's (I've always been that way on New Year's) but since it is a family party we always have to go!

We took the kids to dinner and then we all stayed in together for the night. We let the kids stay up a little bit but not until midnight. My husband and I watched Times Square and had a champagne toast.
Happy New Year!!!

I haven't made it to midnight in years and years. It's so sad.

Happy New Year!

We stay home. This is first year we let teenager go out, but we called the parents to make sure no alcohol, parent supervision and person bringing him home hadn't been drinking. Probably only one more year we can control his New Year's Eve Party
