Do you cuss in front of your kids? Did your parents cuss in front of you?
When I was growing up, my dad cussed, my mom did not.
I've gone back and forth my adult life. There have been times I didn't want cuss words in front of my kids and other times I was ok with it.
What about you?
Audrey :)

My parents never cussed in front of me when I was a child. We weren't even allowed to say "butt",
I have worked very hard on my cussing and while I haven't been perfect, I rarely cuss. My husband, however, lets a few more fly. Especially when driving.
I don't think that it's the end of the world if they hear a cuss word. With my older child I say I'm sorry and that was not a nice word. With my daughter, I just pray that she didn't hear it. :-)
We try not to cuss period, not even in front of ourselves. Not even when we are alone in the middle of the woods ... :) Our kids are NOT allowed to cuss at all. They don't actually cuss though so we have no problems with this. I think that we can find better words to express ourselves. I think the Sponge Bob cuss words are funny though, our kids could use those if they wanted to!
My parents cussed. And are even worse now...strange considering their educations and very public jobs.
I've tried not to cuss, but they slip out or sometimes they are the only way to communicate how strongly I feel.
My husband, the sailor, doesn't cuss. I don't think I've ever heard anything other than "H.E. double hockey sticks out of this mouth" (Literally.)
I consider it an act of grace that my kids have never dropped the s or f bomb. I really don't want them to cuss, so I watch myself.
My parents never cussed and I never cussed in front of my kids. They're 18 and 21 now so once in a while I throw one out there on purpose because it completely cracks them up since it's so out of character!
My parents always cussed in front of me growing up, but they didnt like when I started cussing around them. Didnt like it at all. Oh well, you cant dog on someone whose learned from you how to do something
I don't cuss, but my husband does...don't like it :(
We try not to, but I wouldn't say it something hasn't slipped out before. some people consider different things as cuss words than others too. My parents always swore around us, but it was clear that us kids were not to use that language.
